Gebrüder Roggendorf GmbH, based in Cologne, is one of over 300 moving companies in Germany. The company’s beginnings date back to 1964, when it was founded by Theo Roggendorf. Back then, the business started with one truck and three employees. In the 1980s, Walter Roggendorf, son and current owner, joined the company. In 1986, the second son, Manfred Roggendorf, joined as well.
Gebr. Roggendorf GmbH is a founding member of Euromovers, one of the world’s leading moving cooperation networks. It is a union of independent moving companies that operate on the market as a group. Roggendorf is also a member of the State Association for Transport and Logistics North Rhine-Westphalia, and the federal association AMÖ. Additionally, Roggendorf is represented through honorary board activities in the various associations. To meet the high demands of the market, the company is also certified according to DIN 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environment), 27001 (Information Security and Data Protection), 45001 (Health and Safety at Work), BS EN 12522 (Moving Services – Residential Moves), and BS 8522 (Commercial Moving Services).
Today, in the year 2025, after Walter Roggendorf's well-deserved retirement, Manfred Roggendorf together with Sebastian Heide and Rafael Hensel lead Gebr. Roggendorf GmbH
Roggendorf employs 22 people and four trainees in the office. In the industrial/technical sector, there are about 60 employees as well as several apprentices for FMKU.
The fleet has also steadily grown over the years. The GmbH now owns a large and diverse fleet, a storage area with 5,200 sqm at the Cologne location, and a container warehouse in Cologne with a capacity of over 400 20ft storage containers.
With the new container hall, the company has created a unique selling point as the largest container warehouse at the Cologne location.
Through the integration of several local moving companies— Heinen Möbeltransporte, Hachenberg, Ideal-Umzüge, Rosellen, Schneeloch-Umzüge, Wurm-Umzug — more staff and vehicles have been added since 2018.
